Managed cloud servers, secured and backed up

Run your ERP, accounting system or file shares on a cloud server instead of a box in the back office. We size it, run it, secure it and back it up for you.

The service

What a managed cloud server is — and what changes when someone actually runs it

A cloud server is a virtual server running in a professional data center rather than on hardware in your office. Your team connects over the internet to use the accounting system, ERP, database or shared folders just like today — without depending on a machine that overheats, runs out of disk or goes dark when the power does.

Renting capacity is the easy part. Someone still has to size it correctly, patch it, watch disk and memory, protect it from malware, control who gets in and, above all, back it up. A lot of companies spin up a VM and discover later that nobody owns the administration. Our service covers the server and everything around it.

We work on whichever platform fits: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or a local cloud in a Colombian data center. If you already have an account, we manage it there. If you don't, we'll recommend in writing where to run it and why, weighing monthly cost, latency to your offices, Windows and application licensing, and where your data needs to live.

Every server we manage is protected with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: malware and ransomware protection on the server itself, backups stored separately from it and, when the business needs it, disaster recovery to bring up a copy elsewhere if the primary fails. mitecni.co is an Acronis Platinum Service Provider based in Colombia, serving companies in Colombia and the US, and we run that protection from the same console we use for more than 2,000 managed devices.

No IT department? Hand us the whole server: user access, patching, monitoring, backup and troubleshooting. Have an IT team? They keep control of the application and users; we take the infrastructure layer, monitoring, backup and recovery, with shared console access.

Cloud isn't always the answer. If an application needs instant response at a single site with a weak internet connection, a well-protected on-prem server may be the better call. We'll show you the numbers in the proposal — and if the answer is to move, our cloud migration service handles it. Everything is delivered remotely, in English, on UTC-5.

  • Right-sized to real usage, so you're not paying for idle capacity
  • Fully managed: patching, users, access and monitoring
  • Secured and backed up with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, backups kept off the server
  • Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or regional cloud, whichever fits
  • Secure access from every office and for remote staff
  • Optional disaster recovery for systems that can't go down

Process

How we get your cloud server running

  1. 01

    30-minute call

We go over the applications you need to run, how many users connect and from where, how critical each system is, and whether you already have a cloud account.

  2. 02

    Written proposal

You get a platform recommendation, server sizing, what management includes, response times in writing and the monthly fee — with cloud costs and management fees shown separately.

  3. 03

    Rollout without stopping the business

We build and harden the server, install protection and backup, and if you're coming from an on-prem server, schedule the cutover in an agreed window so your team doesn't lose working days.

  4. 04

    Operation, monitoring and monthly report

We monitor the server, apply updates, check backups and handle incidents by priority. Every month you get a status, usage and recommendations report.

FAQ

Managed cloud server FAQs

What is a managed cloud server?

It's a virtual server in a professional data center (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or a local cloud in a Colombian data center) plus a team that runs it for you: sizing, patching, security, monitoring and backup. You use it over the internet for the same work you do today.

Will our accounting software or ERP run in the cloud?

In most cases, yes. Many accounting and ERP packages run well on a Windows server in the cloud with remote access for users. On the call we check your software, its licensing terms and how your users connect before recommending anything.

Is it cheaper than a server in the office?

It depends. In the cloud you pay monthly and skip buying, replacing and powering hardware; on-prem you pay up front. An honest comparison includes licensing, backup, connectivity and administration. We'll put it in writing with your numbers — no generic savings percentages.

What happens if the office internet goes down?

Good question to ask. If all your work depends on the server, you need a reliable connection and ideally a backup link. We'll assess it on the call; sometimes we recommend a hybrid setup or keeping certain systems on-prem.

Where does our data live, and who can access it?

In the data center and region we agree on in writing. Access is limited to users you authorize, over encrypted connections, and our team connects only to manage the service. Backups are stored separately from the server.

How much does a managed cloud server cost?

It depends on server size (CPU, memory, disk), platform, Windows and application licensing, backup volume and whether you need disaster recovery. We show cloud costs and management fees separately. After a 30-minute call we send a written proposal.

We already run servers in Azure or AWS. Can you take them over?

Yes. We review them, add protection and backup, right-size anything that's over-provisioned and bring them into our monitoring. The account stays yours.

"Response time is excellent — no more than an hour. The service is excellent."

Is your business running on a server that lives under someone's desk?

Let's spend 30 minutes on what runs on it. You'll get a written proposal afterward.
